FAQ
Bikes
Do you make custom bikes?
Sklar is not offering custom bike frames or components at this time.
Do you have touch-up paint for my bike?
Nope. We do not offer touch up paint. In our opinion those scuffs and scratches are a beautiful part of making a bike your own and no matter how carefully you apply touch-up paint it always looks bad. If you are concerned about rust we recommend clear nail polish or a sticker.
Do you build belt drive compatible frames?
We do not offer belt drive compatible frames
Do you build frames for the Pinion Gearbox
Pinion gearbox frames are not available at this time.
Do you ship internationally?
Absolutely. Sklar sends lots of frames internationally. You should however, be prepared to pay shipping in full as well as any tariffs or import taxes incurred. Sklar will not lie and claim lower values on international shipments.
Can I visit the shop?
We are very busy every day working with customers and building bikes. We are happy to have you come pick up your order or chat bikes but please email us and make an appointment first. Thanks!

- Parts, accessories, or components not originally intended for or compatible with the bicycle as sold

Right Size Guarantee
We do our best to get you on the correct frame size. With good fit numbers, we're confident in our sizing recommendations — but bikes are a physical fit, and sometimes things don't work out the way the numbers suggested.
If you end up on the wrong size frame based on our recommendation, we'll swap it for the correct size. This applies even if you've already built the bike up and ridden it.
What's covered
The frame swap itself, for the correct size based on our original recommendation.
Valid for 30 days from delivery.
One swap per order.
What's not covered
Shipping costs — you cover shipping both directions (sending the wrong-size frame back, and receiving the correct one).
Labor to move components from the old frame to the new one.
What we need from you
A recommendation is only as good as the numbers behind it. Please do your best to give us accurate fit measurements when ordering. If you have any doubt about your numbers, get a bike fit before you order — it's worth the cost relative to a frame swap.
We stand by our recommendations, but we can only work with what we're given. This guarantee covers a size mismatch traced back to our sizing process — not a change of mind on riding style or preference after the fact.
