Job Title: Sales & Customer Service Manager
Location: Oakland, California (San Francisco starting in February) In person
Hours: 20 hours per week to start

Sales & Customer Service Manager
Do you love bikes? Are you excited to help people find their perfect next one? Do you want to be part of a small team carving out a unique corner of the bike industry and play a key role in its growth? Sklar is seeking a proactive and organized Sales & Customer Service Manager in the San Francisco Bay Area. In this part-time role, you’ll be responsible for building relationships with potential customers, answering their questions, and converting those relationships into sales. You will also ensure timely product shipments and help provide a quality experience for customers receiving their new bikes and bike parts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer customer inquiries about Sklar products with a focus on turning those conversations into sales. This is almost all on E-mail with the occasional phone call
- Build and maintain relationships with dealers
- Oversee the timely shipping of products, ensuring customer orders are fulfilled efficiently and on time
- Track, organize, and report on inventory, maintaining an orderly warehouse.
- Assist with Shopify store management, including inventory tracking and updating product listings.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and communication skills, we are looking for someone who wants to build systems and grow together
- Experience in sales. It doesn't have to be bikes but knowing bikes helps
- Strong spreadsheet and project management software skills
- Experience with Shopify and inventory management systems (preferred)
- Email marketing experience is a plus
- Ability to lift and move heavy items
- Like bikes! You don’t need to have been a bike racer or worked at a shop for 15 years for this role. If you are excited and willing to learn we can work with that.
