Erin's Extra Small PBJ - an ATB for shorter riders
When we say Extra Small we mean it. So many smaller riders have spent years making do and we had that in mind when designing the size XS PBJ frame, which is designed specifically for riders in the 5'1" to 5'5" range. While frames in this size are often difficult to stock because we just don't sell that many, we are happy to have them on hand for shorter riders.
The PBJ offers a great small frame 29er platform for bikepacking, bike touring, ATB riding and all round fun. You may notice in the geo charts that the XS features some different angles (like a slacker head tube to help with toe overlap) and a larger jump in seat post height to help with standover, and to allow shorter riders the option to still run a dropper post, which really makes the PBJ such a fun and capable bike on singletrack. The XS isn't just a shrunked down Small, the tubeset is made specifically for this size, engineered for a lighter rider's weight and proportions. That in addition to the obsessively designed fork gives smaller riders the ride quality they deserve. Of course the PBJ also has all the mounts for racks and bags and fenders and internal dyno routing - everything you need for a big adventure!
This XS bike was built up for Erin and it is heading to the front range of Colorado, where I actually grew up and first got in to riding bikes. The PBJ is going to be such a sweet companion there for all the mixed terrain, dirt roads and singletrack. Can't wait for Erin to get it out on the trail!
