Photos from Japan

In case you hadn't heard yet, we went to Japan! While there, we got to visit with our Japanese distributor and good friends at Circles. You can watch a nice YouTube video about our Japan Bike Tour here.

I have been working with Circles since about 2018 when I used to send custom frames over. I was always blown away by the thoughtful, quality builds they put together and finally getting to go see it in person was a real dream come true. I have been thinking a lot about bikes as machines of connection. They can connect you to your brain and your body, to friends and the place you live but also to have bikes as a connection to new friends across the world is a pretty amazing and special thing. I feel very grateful to bicycles in that way.

Lately I've been shooting a lot of black and white photos, mostly because there is a super cool community darkroom near my house and it is fun to go develop and print the photos myself. Also it's a really nice community there. Shout out to the Harvey Milk Photo Center.
