SuperSomething Titanium Gravel Bike for Chris!

There is something about Titanium that really lends itself to gravel bikes. The flexiness, responsiveness and lightweightness and not-rustingness all combine to make for a really high-performance ride that will last a really long time. This specific bike is one we built up for Chris and I think it turned out quite nice, if I do say so. This frame comes from a small batch we produced earlier this year and features our cult-classic SuperSomething frame design. A gravel platform designed for 50ish mm tires, a steel – or in this case, carbon fiber – fork and 1x drivetrains. The frame also features a UDH dropout to play nice with SRAM's new full-mount derailleurs that we've really been liking.

Titanium, in addition to just being an expensive raw material, is really challenging to work with. It requires a very high degree of precision and care to make a truly lifelong bike. At this moment, we have just two more of these frames in size M-L and we are working to source more. Those will be ready in the spring if all goes according to plan.

For now, check out these photos of Chris's build. He is 5'7" with a 710mm saddle height and went with the size M-L (basically our 56) and the Rival/GX groupset. We switched over to DT Swiss wheels a few months ago and have really been loving them. They just make the best hubs and rims.
