Design Brief:
Every gravel bike falls somewhere on a spectrum: fat-tired road bikes on one end, hardtail mountain bikes on the other. The SuperSomething sits about 60% of the way along that spectrum. The brief: don't go full new-school mountain bike geometry, because there's something genuinely fun about riding a road bike where you're not supposed to, but don't ignore decades of geometry development either. The SuperSomething very intentionally lands somewhere in between.
Geometry
The SuperSomething runs a slightly longer front end than a traditional road bike, eliminating toe overlap and adding stability through rough terrain. As well as higher stack for a more upright position that inspires confidence on rougher terrain. It's designed around a 50–100mm stem for handling that stays sharp without feeling nervous. We built it with 700x45 tires in mind, but it'll clear larger or smaller depending on where you want to ride or what you want to try. The goal isn't to chase trends, it's to land on geometry that feels right whether you're on smooth gravel, chunky doubletrack, or pavement getting to the good stuff.
Materials
The SuperSomething is built from the finest possible steel tubing. Each size-specific tubeset is designed by us and custom drawn for these frames to deliver a lively, compliant, responsive ride - the best qualities that steel has to offer, at a respectable weight. We're not beholden to off-the-shelf, name-brand tubing; we make our own to specifically suit each frame size across our whole lineup. Our in-house designed chainstay yoke is cast from 4130 steel and heat treated for optimal chainstay length, tire clearance, and strength, while asymmetrical chainstays, sized independently side to side, manage drivetrain flex and fine-tune ride quality without adding weight. The top tube is ovalized and curved, not for looks (maybe a little for looks), but because that shape flexes differently than a straight, round tube under load, part of what gives the SuperSomething its signature lively, compliant feel. No diameter or butting profile was overlooked. We lean on years of engineering and framebuilding craft to get every tube exactly right.
Serviceability & Longevity
Trends come and go, but this frame is built to stick around. The SuperSomething is designed around standards that have proved the test of time and you and your bike mechanic will always be able to fall back on, not the ones that disappear in five years. A riding partner ready to adapts and grow with you, for a long, long time.

SuperSomething FAQ's
What brakes can I run on the SuperSomething?
We made it easy for you. The SuperSomething is compatible with brakes that use the "Flat Mount" standard. This is the most common brake caliper for gravel bike groupsets. You can use a flatmount to post mount adaptor if you would like to run a post mount break as well.
The flat mount bosses are 10mm thick so you can take that into account when selecting what length bolts to use.
Do I need to use FrameSaver on my SuperSomething?
Super Something frames are ED coated before being painted to protect from rust forever, no need to use frame saver.
Can I run a front derailleur?
The Super Something is designed around a 1x drivetrain but a 2x drivetrain is possible depending on the desired chainring size.
Can I customize my build?
We do not offer customization on complete builds.
Can I install racks or fenders on the SuperSomething?
You can run racks and fenders on the Super Something! We have built frames up with 700x50mm tires and fenders still fit nicely in there, although if you live somewhere muddy you will probably want to run a max 48mm tire for some extra clearance.
The forks have a crown boss as well as a mid-blade and dropout boss that work with virtually any front rack. The rear end has 4 bosses as well that work great with most racks.
What size headset/crownrace do I need to order?
Here’s some SHIS for your bike mechanic. The Super Something framesets use a straight 1-1/8" steerer fork so make sure your headset is EC34/28.6 upper, EC44/30 lower. This size is available from just about all modern headset manufactures and allows you to run a carbon fork (or even a suss gravel fork) if you desire by simply swapping out the lower crown race for a larger one to accommodate a tapered steerer (33 or 40).
We've made it easy for you to order the correct headset along with your frame HERE.
What is included with this frameset?
All frames ship with a seat post clamp and thru axles included as well as cable guide clips. You can order extra or replacement small parts from our small parts page.
Where are the framesets manufactured?
Production frames like the Super Something are manufactured in Taiwan.
What size thru-axles do I use?
The SuperSomething comes with thru-axles for the front and rear. If you want to run a different axle, here are the correct dimensions:
Rear: 164mm, 12 x 1.5
Front: 120mm, 12 x 1.5
