Garrett's XL SuperSomething really is Extra Large
A New SuperSomething XL for the Tall Folks
We just finished up a new SuperSomething XL complete build, and it turned out too good not to share. If you’re on the taller side and have been hunting for a gravel bike that actually feels like it fits, this one might be worth a look.

The big update here is the new XL geometry, now built around a roomier 62 cm effective top tube. We’ve been hearing from taller riders for years that even most “XL” gravel bikes still feel a little short, so we pushed this one farther to create a setup that feels natural without resorting to long stems or weird workarounds. The result is a SuperSomething that keeps the same easygoing handling and all-day feel, just… bigger. Back when I was building custom frames I heard this a LOT, so it feels good to put something into production that really is fit for larger riders.

This build is running our Rival Mullet kit, which has become a clear crowd favorite. It keeps the simplicity and clean shifts of a 1x drivetrain, paired with the big-range mountain gearing in the back. Whether you’re rolling fast gravel, exploring fire roads, or heading out loaded for a weekend, the gearing just works.
Garrett also added the paint-matched Sklarbon carbon gravel fork, which has been a fun upgrade lately. It lightens things up a bit, smooths out the chatter, and honestly looks really nice with the frame. The new paint-match option ties everything together so the whole bike feels like one clean piece.

Everything else is classic SuperSomething: lightweight steel tubing chosen for a smooth ride, loads of mounts, space for big tires, and the kind of do-anything attitude that has made this bike popular. It’s still the bike you can take out for whatever ride happens to sound fun that day—this one just happens to be sized for folks who usually run out of options.
