We love bike shops! A good repair and retail hub is essential for any strong cycling community because they provide community support – that means inclusive group rides, events, and outreach. After all, bikes should be fun and they should be for everyone!

Adam and I choose to partner with shops that go above and beyond. We're going to call these features "Take Me to Your Dealer" because we want to shine the spotlight on the special folks who own and operate the shops we've hand-picked to be Authorized Sklar Dealers.

We're going to keep it short and sweet, with three questions designed to hint at the unique flavor of each shop (without making too much more work for these hard-working folks).

Today we're kicking off the series with our newest retail partners at the wonderful Treehouse Cyclery in Boulder, Colorado!

 1. Tell us about your shop in haiku.

Come as you are, roll
with bikes made by real people
for dirt, joy, and friends

2. What role does your shop play in your community and how do you make it happen?

Treehouse is all about community, adventure cycling, and independent brands and we’re proud to offer something that’s been missing in Boulder! We’re here for the folks who haven’t always felt seen in typical bike spaces and who are looking for something a little different. That shows up in the group rides and events we host, the brands we carry, and the welcoming vibe we try to create every time someone walks through the door. We might be a newer shop with young owners, but we truly believe our mission and focus reflect the future of this sport. We hope our presence helps show that being different isn’t a bad thing and that supporting small, independent bike brands really matters.

3. What's your favorite ride snack?

Kolby: Haribo gummy bears (shareable size)
Alyssa: Nerds Clusters (non-shareable size)

Thank you, Alyssa and Kolby, for opening your doors to us! If you're in Boulder, check out Treehouse!
